According to many of our panelists, the lake's remote location, general absence of fishermen and strict catch-and-release policies have made it one of the best places to catch gigantic northern pike—including a few more than four-feet-long and 30 pounds. In Wollaston's cool waters, pike remain shallow all season, so it's possible to catch trophies on light tackle—even flies. Bonus fish include lake trout (some, more than 50 pounds), big walleyes and arctic grayling in the streams flowing into Wollaston.
