The museum is undergoing a $65-million reconstruction. It is scheduled to reopen in winter 2009-10. In the meantime, it is hosting some screenings and events at various venues in Manhattan and Queens (such a "evenings" with films and talks by filmmakers such as Michael Gondry, Stanley Tucci, and Jonathan Demme).
