Some call this Salt Lake City's outdoor living room, with its intimate spaces, performances, food, all kinds of characters and activities, and good vantage points for watching the goings-on. Wander through the large art exhibit and the gigantic outdoor chessboard with waist-high pieces, and enjoy the pond, amphitheater, outdoor ice skating rink (call or visit their website for hours and rates), and aviary. Allow 30 minutes, or more for skating, people watching, and dining.
