Just about every honeymoon survey and sales report seems to agree: Hawaii is the most favored destination among American honeymooners. According to TheKnot.com, 10 percent of American honeymooner chose our South Pacific island chain to celebrate. That translates to more than 225,000 newlyweds, as reported by the State of Hawaii Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism. It's not just a home-team favorite—the rest of the world, too, is flocking here in increasing numbers. Hawaii welcomed 10 percent more European and Canadian honeymoons in 2008 than the year before.
