Launching in late 2009, Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas—which will be the world’s largest cruise ship—understates the idea of over-the-top. Some 16 decks and 2,700 guest rooms will accommodate 5,400 passengers. The behemoth is divided into seven neighborhoods to make navigating easier. Passengers can speed along the first zip line at sea, strung nine decks above the boardwalk. The ship’s AquaTheater—host to diving spectacles—will be the deepest pool afloat.
