Nancy Rios, 19, sails the women's windsurfer on the Olympic team. Like several of her teammates, she rates Biscayne Bay as one of her favorite racing spots. But for a relaxed sail, she heads to the Banana River in Cocoa Beach. "The River has manatees, dolphins and small islands that are perfect for an afternoon picnic," she says. "As the day ends you can sail until sunset and enjoy the unforgettable pink skies."

Zach Raily, 23, who skippers the Finn class for the Olympic team, loves to sail off his hometown of Clearwater, on the other side of the peninsula. "What is really cool is catching a wave and looking over and seeing a big group of dolphins riding the wave with you," he says. "It is something that I have done since I was really little and you never get tired of experiencing that sensation."
