Best Luxury Experience
There is a wide array of excellent adventures in and around Stowe for every season.

In the wintertime, I would suggest taking a full-day lesson with a Stowe Mountain Resort instructor. This way you bypass lift lines, improve your technique and skill, and learn the mountain from someone who knows it like the back of their hand. You can also borrow a pair of our $3000 Sterling Skis, which we have available on-loan for our VIP guests. If you're an expert and looking for a one-of-a-kind ski experience, we can hire a backcountry guide to take you to those off-the-beaten-path places where you will get fresh ski runs no matter what time of day. In the summertime, I would recommend a half-day excursion with our in-house naturalist. She'll have you start out with some Chi Qung moves to loosen up, and then take you on a challenging hike up Mt. Mansfield, where you'll rock hop over creeks, learn about Vermont's native plants and animals, and learn how to identify moose and bear tracks along the way. You'll summit on the top of Mount Mansfield and enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch of local breads, artisan cheeses, fresh blueberries, and gathered native herbs, and see the expanse of Lake Champlain and the High Peak of the Adirondacks.

Best Way To Spend A Morning If That's All You Have
Visit Jamie's on Main for a coffee and one of their delicious fresh pastries.

After stopping into Jamie's, take a quick stroll through the lower village to the Mercantile and Depot shops, as well as Shaw's general store and the other specialty stores and art galleries in town.

Best Place To Take The Kids
The Ben & Jerry's Factory

It's a child's dream come true!

Best Day Trip
Lake Champlain and Burlington

The lake is the deepest in America and offers amazing fishing as well as boating options. The lake is located in Burlington which is "the big city" in Vermont. Burlington's Church Street marketplace has great restaurants and shopping, and is a good place to just sit and enjoy a nice day. Families beware: the bars in Burlington spill over onto Church Street and can be quite rambunctious on Friday and Saturday nights due to the partiers from nearby University of Vermont, Champlain College, and St. Michael's College.

Recommended Tour
There is a hot air balloon festival in Stowe every summer.

Twenty five of the nation's best hot air balloon pilots offer rides over town, and you cannot beat the views of the Green Mountains from the sky. Part of the proceeds from festival sales go to the Vermont Children's Aid Society.

Recommended Show
The Trapp Family Lodge Summer Concert Series in the Meadows

A memorable time. It begins at sunset on the top of Trapp Hill, where you will have breathtaking views of The Green and Worcester Range while being serenaded by world class musicians.
