Looking more like a private estate than a hotel -- with its immaculately kept gardens -- the Pentelikon, full of old-world glamour, was built in 1929 and features grand staircases and gigantic ballrooms of a long-gone era. Elegance and impeccable style can be found around every corner, and to make it even more appealing the hotel also houses the Michelin-starred restaurant Vardis. Both are a very brief walk from the Semiramis hotel. (Right next door to the Pentelikon is my high school housed in another old hotel, not nearly a quarter as grand of course as its neighbor).
