Barbara McKain's quiet cul-de-sac address in an affluent suburb will quickly lull you into a state of bliss. She's one of those special hosts who go out of their way to ensure guests' needs are well and truly met over and above expectations. Her modern rooms are exceptionally well priced and the atmosphere here is much more relaxed than at either Cotter or Aachen House. The Mount Hobson room has a huge Jacuzzi and shower, and the second upstairs room has its own lounge. The large downstairs room looks out on a leafy garden.
