A traditional family-run hotel near the right bank of the Salzach, this hotel lies only a 5-minute walk from the Altstadt, former stamping ground of Mozart. With its own sunny gardens, it consists of two buildings: a main structure and a less expensive annex. The inviting rooms are warm, large, and cozy, with big windows, excellent beds, and well-equipped bathrooms, moderate in size, with tub/shower combinations. There's an old-fashioned charm to the place, from the reception hall with its 19th-century molded ceilings to the antiques-filled drawing room. The library bar is not only convivial and informal, but also one of our favorite spots for drinking and conversation in Salzburg. On the top floor, you'll find a roof terrace offering nice views of Salzburg.
