This hotel, located in the center of Innsbruck, is next to the Imperial Gardens, the most interesting sights, and the shopping area. "The Gray Bear" (its English name) has long been a family favorite. The good-size rooms are well maintained and traditionally furnished, with thick carpeting and built-in furnishings. Bathrooms have showers and tubs. Front rooms are the most comfortable and the best appointed, but they also suffer from the most traffic noise. To the side of the large lobby is the dining room, Galerie, with an ornate ribbed and vaulted white ceiling supported by a central stone column. Well-prepared international, Austrian, and Tyrolean specialties are served.
