High in the foothills of the mountains near the Hornbahn cable cars, and less than 1km (1/2-mile) west of the town center, this comfortable, government-rated five-star chalet hotel evolved from a 17th-century farmhouse. The whole place is furnished in a Tyrolean style with great care and taste, offering good living and complete relaxation in a garden setting. The views from the outdoor cafe encompass the pool and the village. The owners, the Pasquali family, take a personal interest in their guests and see that a high standard of service is maintained. If you're a traditionalist, try one of the rooms in the original building, as they're the most intimate and cozy. All rooms are beautifully furnished, sometimes with antiques. Bathrooms come in a variety of sizes, all with tub/shower combinations. The Romantik Hotel Tennerhof Restaurant offers wholesome food, with vegetables and herbs straight from the hotel's garden.
