Sharing a courtyard with the Carroll Mansion Museum is this 13-room inn with electric fireplaces, richly carved furniture, whirlpool baths, sumptuous bedding, Oriental carpets, and silk drapes in every room. Every room has its own style: The largest is the Carroll Suite with a separate sitting room and double Jacuzzi in the bathroom. The Scholars Room has a double Jacuzzi and king bed. Light floods the corner Independence Suite. Once an unlikely location, it's now convenient to the Reginald Lewis Museum, the Carroll Mansion, and Little Italy. Downtown is a short drive away. Construction of more rooms and a garage will begin in 2008.
