This Georgian inn has been dramatically modernized and is today a stylish stopover in this spa town. Fashionable, teak designer furnishings decorate the modern accommodations, which are both tasteful and comfortable with attractive little bathrooms with showers. Large potted plants and a choice of antiques grace the public lounges, and throw rugs cover many of the floors. The on-site Café Paradiso serves the best antipasti in town, along with other Continental offerings; it's like a cool 1950s bar, where entertainment is often presented.
