Newly opened in 2007, this intimate hotel located on a bar-lined alley in the hutong boasts modern rooms decorated with Chinese antiques and flat-screen TVs. Beds are dark wood, and long, emperor-style calligraphy tables serve as desks. Rooms on the third floor are larger and some come with their own balconies with views overlooking the rooftops of traditional courtyard houses nearby. They're well worth the upgrade. The English service is uneven, but everyone is super friendly.
