The best word to describe this hotel is charming; you'll be overcome by a snuggly, comforted feeling as soon as you enter. Located on a pedestrian street, there is only traffic on one small one-way street, keeping noise to a minimum. Having so few rooms has its advantages, and personalized service is excellent. With only two floors the hotel lacks an elevator and instead has a grand winding staircase; a guestbook available on the landing is filled with many wonderful accolades. Each of the rooms is well equipped for the weary traveler, all perfectly quiet for a good night's sleep on an excellent mattress with matching quality pillows. No one should feel cramped in these well-appointed rooms. The bathroom is equally as comfortable, but the quarter-circle shower is a bit small. Adjoining the hotel is the Pilvax Restaurant, an institution in Budapest restaurant culture. Both hotel and restaurant are part of the Mellow Mood chain.
