Situated on a working wine farm in a historic homestead dating back to 1717, Palmiet Valley is also beautifully furnished, with lovely antiques in every room (book one with a fireplace if you're traveling in winter). Once outdoors, you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding vineyards and craggy mountains from every angle, including the terrace and decent-size pool. Three-course dinners are served in the period-style dining room at one table; you can request a more private option if you like. A chauffeur-driven limo is available for daily charter or airport transfers. This used to be unique, but places like Hawksmoor House have played a good game of catch up.
