Perched high above Table Bay, where Table Mountain meets the slopes of Lion's Head, this charming Balinese-themed guesthouse offers good views of the city and mountain. There's also quick access by car to Camps Bay and Clifton beaches, and to the cableway; and the restaurants at the top end of Kloof Street are just a stroll away. (Note that if you want to order in, the staff will set up a table for you.) Ask for room nos. 8 through 11 -- situated on the top floor of this two-story building, they have the best views. The small, sun-drenched top-floor patio is good for lounging while watching the cloud "tablecloth" tumbling down Table Mountain. It's a small lodge, but the 24-hour reception ensures that guests' needs are well tended.
