Set within a quiet and completely unpretentious residential neighborhood on the landward side of South Church Road, 1.5km (1 mile) south of downtown George Town, this is one of only two B&Bs on Grand Cayman. Basic and completely free of glitter, it's run with a relaxed sense of humor by Carol "Tootie" Eldemire Huddleston, the congenial but outspoken and no-nonsense Jamaica-born entrepreneur ("a helluva matriarch") who lives across the street. Accommodations lie in either the main house or a handful of outbuildings. Each of the rooms is a simple, sparsely furnished affair, with well-worn furniture and few frills. Each has a private bathroom with shower, and about half contain a tub-shower combo. Residents of the double rooms have access to the house's communal kitchen, and each of the suites and apartments contains a simple kitchenette. Smith Cove Beach lies within a 5-minute walk.
