Although the setting is a bit bleak -- no lush landscaping except for a buffer grove of sea grapes -- this is one of the most comfortable small-house rentals on the island. For many visitors, it would make an ideal "second home" in the Caribbean. The concrete units are decorated in a typical West Indian style, with pastels, whitewashed woods, and tiles. The rentals each have a well-maintained medium-size private bathroom with a shower. The sofa bed in the living room can be converted to receive additional guests. Each of the bedrooms has a king-size bed and a walk-in closet. You can enjoy the ocean view with a cup of coffee in the morning from your private patio, or a cocktail at night from the covered porch. The kitchen is generously equipped with utensils and hardware. There's also a laundry room adjacent to the kitchen, and an outside shower to wash off sand after a day at the beach. The oceanfront house accommodates up to six, making it an ideal space for families, or a small group of friends who can appreciate its casual, laid-back style. Hammocks are strung up on the covered porch for lazy enjoyment of the surroundings. Other features include a barbecue grill and covered parking.
