This is a modern and luxurious large-scale business-class hotel, with three five-story wings. The large, open lobby has a beautiful flagstone-and-mosaic floor. The rooms are all well-appointed, with either one king-size or two double beds, a working desk, a sitting chair and ottoman, and a large armoire housing a 25-inch television. For a little extra, you can stay on the Club InterContinental floor and enjoy personalized concierge and butler services, a separate check-in area, an on-floor buffet breakfast, and an assortment of refreshments and snacks throughout the day. The hotel is just across from a large, modern shopping-mall complex, which is nice if you want access to shopping, restaurants, and a six-plex movie theater. Overall, the InterContinental offers many of the same features and amenities as the Marriott, although the latter gets my nod in terms of service, restaurants, and ambience. Facilities: 3 restaurants; 2 bars; lounge; large free-form pool; tennis court; modest health club and spa; Jacuzzi; concierge; tour desk; car-rental desk; well-appointed business center; small shopping arcade; salon; 24-hr. room service; in-room massage; laundry service; nonsmoking rooms
