Hotel Dante

Frommer's Recommended
Bargain hunters in Nice head for this restored hotel, which lies only a stone's throw from the promenade des Anglais, in between the Sheraton and Negresco hotels, about a 10-minute walk from the flower market and train station. The government grants it only two stars, but it is definitely recommendable for its well-maintained, comfortable, and attractively furnished bedrooms. Furnishings are very modern, almost evoking a Caribbean resort, and the English-speaking personnel is most helpful in guiding you through the intricacies of Nice. The most desirable rooms are those with a small kitchen, opening onto a private terrace.
