The same family has run this hotel for more than half a century. Overlooking the port, this cozy nest has long been a favorite of ours, as it's the most discreet, most charming, and least celebrity-flashy establishment in town, making Byblos look nouveau riche and a bit strident. The hotel is filled with the original airy paintings of Jacques Cordier, who died in 1978, which add to the atmosphere. The redecorated rooms are well equipped and open onto sea views. Each floor holds two or three rooms. Sun-colored walls with subtle lighting lend a homey feeling. The beds are elegantly appointed with linen and quality mattresses, and the midsize to large bathrooms have tub/shower combinations or shower only.
