Sparsely decorated and uncomplicated, this hotel occupies the premises of what was built around 1900 as a Beaux Arts-style villa, within about a minute's walk from the railway station and a 5-minute walk from the beach. Inside you'll find a wide assortment of rooms and room sizes, with the biggest having soaring ceilings and a sense of monumental spaciousness, and the smallest being cramped but with manageable beds. This is the type of hotel where you'll do little more than sleep. Around seven of the rooms have tiny balconies overlooking the street. Expect a polite staff and a clientele that includes gay men and -- to a lesser extent -- women, many of whom are involved, in one way or the other, with aspects of the film industry.
