Since the 1970s the Renaissance Center has served as General Motors' corporate headquarters, and the building recalls its automotive history in a ground-floor classic car museum. The Marriott on-site is popular with business travelers, but leisure guests love the hotel's downtown location, its People Mover station, and its proximity to the Joe Louis, Comerica Park, and Ford Field sports stadiums. The hotel's Wintergarden -- a glass atrium meeting and retail center -- is just the spot for casual dining, shopping, and riverfront views. Book an upper floor room for great views of the Detroit River and Windsor.
