The Park Hyatt Saigon

Frommer's Very Highly Recommended
This is hands-down the best business hotel in the city. From the modern black
ao dai uniforms of reception staff to the non-branded, black top water bottles in the bathroom, everything at the Park Hyatt is sleek, modern and sophisticated. In fact, a stylish touch of traditional Vietnamese elements resonates throughout the hotel. Original oil and lacquer paintings hang in the lobby and hallways, and bedrooms are decorated with mounted black and white photographs of old Saigon. Accent pillows are gold with black designs of bamboo and Chinese symbols for happiness. Standard rooms come with a high, two-poster wooden bed, the kind you have to hop on to. Mattresses are luxuriously thick. A two-tone inlaid rug with a subtle fleur-de-lis pattern is spread beneath the desk and bed area, while dark wooden floors line the rest of the room. The shower and bathtub are in a separate glass enclosure with an obscenely large mirror over the tub (ah-hem). Executive suites come with a spacious living and dining room area and a kitchenette stocked with a full set of flatware and dishes. The Park Hyatt certainly has a business hotel feel to it, but it manages to be reassuring and cozy at the same time. This is a fabulous place to return to after a hectic day in Saigon.
