At first glance, the charm quotient is pretty low at best. Actually, the hotel is an eyesore from outside. But nowhere else in town will you pay 120€ ($168/£86) for a double room with a Bosphorus view. The hotel itself is pretty old, but rooms retain a newish patina even though they were last renovated in 2001. It's a short walk to Taksim Square, but remember that this neighborhood is very hilly.
