Wooden wainscoting, faux Chippendale sofas, and Parisian-style cityscapes of Istanbul make stepping into the Germir Palas like stepping back in time to 19th-century Paris. The hotel's eye-catching and elegant style is a direct result of the Germir family's other enterprise: As owners of a textile business, they've coordinated warm floral wallpaper with leafy green and beige fabrics to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Rooms are comparatively small, so if possible, book one of the seven corner rooms, which are slightly bigger but sacrifice the view. Bathrooms are spacious and all come equipped with full bathtubs. The lobby-level brasserie-style bar is a great meeting place.
