This warm B&B, far removed from the impersonal megaresorts (and their megaprices), is a great find. The helpful owners offer free pickup from the airport and transport to Doctor's Cave Beach, a 15-minute walk or 5 minutes by car. They are constantly improving their property -- a two-story white-painted building set among flowers and fruit trees from which guests may help themselves, perhaps having an orange-and-grapefruit salad. The large rooms are decorated in a tropical motif with two or three queen-size beds. The marble bathrooms have modern fixtures, including a combo tub and shower, and TV is available in a public area. Some rooms feature air-conditioning, TVs, and phones; others are equipped with ceiling fans only, and lack televisions or phones. The hotel next door opens its restaurant to Ridgeway guests.
