Built in 1998 and operated until 2006 under a different name and management, this bright hotel is on a quiet street 1 1/2 blocks from the very central intersection of King George and Ben-Yehuda streets. If the new management turns out to be good, this hotel will offer great value. Rooms are not large, but they're relatively new (they were touched up and recarpeted in 2006), quiet, and pleasant. Each has two narrow beds that are arranged together to form a double bed. Minirefrigerators can be rented for an additional fee, and use of the lobby safe is a small extra fee per day. The dining room is beautifully designed; after breakfast it morphs into an Italian restaurant. Food services throughout the hotel are glatt kosher. Off season, in late fall and winter, rates can drop as low as $90 (£45) for a double room.
