The Renaissance offers a terrific value for the money. It's basically two hotels in one: the posh Renaissance Wing and the New World Wing, its budget neighbor, with both properties sharing all hotel facilities. Each wing has its own entrance, connected in the middle where the ballroom and banquet rooms are housed. Guest rooms in the Renaissance Wing have an "official" feel to them -- very bold and impressive, and completely European in style. In fact, you'll never know you're in Malaysia. The New World Wing is contemporary, with simpler decor, but is no less comfortable. The enormous outdoor pool, which sits between the two hotel towers, is second only to Shangri-La's. Facilities: 3 restaurants; lounge; large landscaped outdoor pool; outdoor lighted tennis court; fitness center w/sauna and massage; concierge; limousine service; business center; shopping arcade; salon; 24-hr. room service; babysitting; same-day laundry service; dry cleaning; nonsmoking rooms; executive-level rooms.
