Tucked away on a side road a short walk from the Paseo del Prado, this unpretentious little hostal is run by a friendly and helpful couple. The excellent-value rooms are neat and clean, and each has its own private shower. Ask for a rear-view room with views over the charming and secluded private garden of the adjoining San Agustín palace.
