The owners of this hotel took an early-20th-century neoclassical building and restored it. The architecture of the past has been respected, although the hotel is fully up-to-date with all the modern amenities. Living here was never this good -- take the bathrooms, for instance. Each contains such extras as scales, bathrobes, magnifying mirror, and vast selection of toilet articles. The rooms are well furnished in a classical style and handsomely decorated, enhanced by high ceilings and large windows flooding the space with light. The breakfast buffet is about the finest along the Gran Vía -- we counted 60 home-baked products on one morning alone. A special feature is the 24-hour Club H10, which offers affordable meals plus free nonalcoholic drinks.
