This very pleasant small restaurant/hotel faces a quiet square just off the lakefront. The rooms are comfortable, with rather nice modern furnishings (plus antiques in a few) and fuzzy towels in the cramped bathrooms. Six rooms open onto partial lake views: nos. 21 and 22 from tall windows; nos. 25 and 26 from small terraces; and nos. 28 and 29 (the biggest room, with windows on two sides for a breeze) from tiny balconies. They usually won't accept reservations for just 1 or 2 nights (but you can just stop by and ask). Sadly, the husband of this family-run affair passed away in 2002, and while they were still renting out rooms, the restaurant is closed for the time being, its future uncertain. Meals of local specialties from the nearby mountain valleys were normally served beneath the wisteria-shaded arbor of the entranceway or in an attractive pale-blue dining room with paintings by local artists.
