A 10-minute walk south of the Duomo, this attractive pensione offers a lot of comfort in addition to its good location. The management is friendly, and rooms are furnished with pleasant modern pieces and decent beds. Each has a tiny washroom with sink and bidet but no toilet; large, spanking-clean bathrooms are in the hallway. Rooms on the street side open to small balconies, but are noisier than those overlooking the cortile (courtyard). One of the bathrooms is equipped with a washing machine, and guests can do a load for 10€ ($13). The Ullrich books up quickly, so be sure to call ahead.
