For Oktoberfest devotees, this is one of the best choices, because it lies only a 5-minute walk from the festival grounds. It is a good location at any time of the year, however, because it lies south of the center but convenient to much of the city's allure. Lying on a broad, tree-lined avenue, it offers small to midsize bedrooms, each well equipped with such extras as a radio alarm clock, dataport, and soundproof windows. Most accommodations also contain safes, along with good-size private bathrooms with tub and shower. The breakfast buffet is rich and varied at this family-run place, and the helpful staff goes out of its way to accommodate you, including help in arranging tickets for cultural performances.
