In the increasingly chic Lehel sector, close to attractions such as the Deutsches Museum, this address is carefully passed around by in-the-know travelers on a budget. Rooms ranging from midsize to spacious are found in a stately town house. The owner extends a hearty welcome to her guests and is especially friendly to her English-speaking visitors. She's filled her establishment with fine carpeting, comfortable beds, pinewood pieces of furniture -- all in all, a bright Bavarian ambience. Most of her accommodations don't have private bathrooms, although the hallway bathrooms are more than adequate in most cases. Don't expect a lot of amenities; however, there is free Internet access in the reception area if you use your own laptop computer.
