The century-old Uhland could easily become your home in Munich. In a residential area, the stately town mansion, built in the Art Nouveau style, stands in its own small garden, a 10-minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof. The Uhland has an inviting neo-Renaissance front turned to the street, and its windows are filled with flower boxes of geraniums in summer. Before the Hauzenberger family converted it into a small hotel in the early 1960s, each floor of the building was a single stately apartment. The bedrooms, ranging from small to medium, are individually decorated in a combination of Bavarian and contemporary design, with many thoughtful extras. Some open onto tiny balconies, and one even has a heated water bed. All units contain bathrooms with showers. This place is a good choice for families; some rooms have bunk beds provided for children.
