This asymmetrical grouping of soaring silver-skinned wedges provokes the Wow! response on first sight, exactly as intended. Every bit the equal of its rival, the Grand Pequot Tower at Foxwoods, it indulges in jaw-dropping design that begins with the slanting columns arrayed around a reflecting pool in abstract homage to woodland ponds. The front desk is over to the right, the escalators down to the restaurants and shops of the new Casino of the Sky on the far side. Rooms are conventionally attractive, albeit utilizing irregular shapes that echo design that was called "Modern" in the 1950s. Extras include Nintendo and high-speed Internet access through the TV with a wireless keyboard.
