In the center of Avignon, on one of the principal streets leading to the landmark place de l'Horloge and the Palais des Papes, the Bristol is one of the town's better bets. A traditional hotel, it offers comfortably furnished well-maintained rooms, most recently renovated in the early 1990s. Most bedrooms contain twin beds. Bathrooms are compact and tiled. Breakfast is the only meal served. Though it's not the most atmospheric place, it offers good, solid value in an expensive city.
