Yeah, it's a block from the beach, but it's the best beach in the city -- so you might say that's better than beachfront at another beach. In any case, this B&B deserves to be better known, and probably will be once the beloved L'Habitation closes nearby (it's up for sale as we go to press), making Oceana the best bargain in Ocean Park. It's a comfortable, snug nest with helpful, friendly staff and clean, newly renovated rooms. All units have small refrigerators and a tiled bathroom with either a tub or a shower. The entire property is a Wi-Fi Internet zone. You can enjoy the complimentary breakfast outdoors on the patio if you wish, and the pool area is a big plus. The PuraVida restaurant lounge serves good local and vegetarian cuisine. The most recent renovations have greatly improved this guesthouse since the days of the Beach Buoy Inn, but the price can still be nice.
