This historic bed-and-breakfast consists of cute red cabins nestled on a gentle forest slope surrounded by flowers and sugar pines. The units have a private bathroom, a comfy king- or queen-size bed, and are individually decorated with paintings of bucolic settings; four units have gas-log fireplaces. The largest cabins, Treehouse and Sugar Pine, sleep up to six, ideal for families. For guests staying in the B&B cottages, a family-style breakfast is served in the main lodge's common room every morning from 8 to 10am. Nearby activities include skiing at Ski Homewood (including shuttle service) and sunbathing at the lakeshore across the street. The friendly owners, Ulli and Dick White, will happily give advice on the best nearby hiking and fishing spots (Dick's an avid fly-fisherman).
