Two blocks from both the Utah State Capitol and Temple Square, this stately 11,000-square-foot mansion atop Capitol Hill -- built by a local luminary in 1905 -- has been a B&B since the 1990s and is a city gem. Most rooms are on the first and third floors, with one king or queen bed, a large television, and a private bath with jetted tub. The fourth floor is occupied by the attractive Topaz Mountain rooms, with a red color scheme and standalone stove, plus a huge bathroom. Plenty of original details can still be found -- such as wavy and stained-glass windows and steam heat, as well as tremendous city and mountain views.
