With its contemporary yet distinctly Northwest architecture, this luxurious little boutique hotel brings urban sophistication to Friday Harbor. From the hotel's bluff-top location, you have excellent views of the ferry landing, the Friday Harbor marina, and, in the distance, Orcas Island. Guest rooms come complete with fireplaces and oversized whirlpool tubs, making this place a great choice for a romantic getaway. In some rooms, you can relax in your tub and gaze at both the view out the window and your own crackling fire. A few units have small balconies. These are some of the best rooms in the San Juan Islands, and if you enjoy contemporary styling, you'll love this place. The dining room serves Northwest cuisine and is one of the best restaurants on the island. At press time, there were plans to expand this inn and add two or three new suites.
