Although best known as the island's favorite private campground, Lakedale Resort at Three Lakes also has six very attractive modern cabins and a 10-room lodge that is a luxurious rendition of a classic log mountain lodge. The cabins are attractively and individually decorated, with large cedar porches overlooking the forest. All have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a gas fireplace. There's a hot tub in a gazebo, and guests have access to the resort's 82 acres, which include trails, several lakes for swimming, canoeing (boat rentals are also available), and trout fishing. Think of this as a sort of summer camp for the entire family. Lots of fun and very woodsy. Guests staying in the lodge get a continental breakfast.
