Opened by the same people behind the New Majestic Hotel, this tiny boutique hotel shares the same love for vintage chairs as its more upmarket sister property. Located in a row of restored prewar shophouses in a former red-light district of Chinatown (with some elements remaining . . .), this building has no space for big guest rooms. In fact sizes and shapes can be a bit awkward at times, and the cheapest rooms have no windows, but what they lack in size they make up for in interior style, bright colors, and humor. The hotel doesn't have much in the way of guest facilities -- a rooftop Jacuzzi and wooden sun deck about cover it -- but if you're in town to shop and sightsee, then this is a good way to save some money but still enjoy a little style.
