The charm of this place derives from its small scale and its personalized sense of intimacy. The location is at the northern end of St. Lucia, 6.4km (4 miles) from Castries. Between the beach and the coastal road is a postmodern row of gingerbread-adorned townhouses, each state of the art, with a balcony overlooking the water. Cottages are rentable for self-catering clients who prefer to spend quiet days reading and swimming, and who usually cook their own meals on-site. Kitchens within each unit are better and more contemporary than those within many modern U.S. condos in, say, Florida, and decor is well maintained and comfortable. There's no restaurant on-site, but a "resident chef" will, with 24 hours advance warning, arrive to prepare meals.
