Pulkovo Airport has no airport hotels in the traditional sense; the closest equivalent is the Pulkovskaya, 10 minutes north on a straight highway toward the city center. Shuttles run from airport to hotel and back for a fee. Another Soviet-era giant, the hotel has renovated most rooms according to international standards. Russian and foreign tour groups fill up many rooms, but there are always plenty to spare. The casino and the marriage agency on the seventh floor aim at single male tourists, though the hotel also offers family-friendly holiday events and a dinner theater show. Guest rooms are mid-size, while generously spaced bathrooms offer both shower and tub. The Bread and Salt (Khleb-Sol) restaurant showcases a Cossack vocal and dance ensemble that's rather touristy but fun for older kids.
