This well-priced option, formerly the Erebus Inn, has a unique location atop a hill overlooking Turtle Cove Marina. The panoramic views of the turquoise sea and the gentle curve of Grace Bay are a rare treat in this generally flat landscape. But accommodations can be iffy. The room we were given was spacious and clean, but I found it a little depressing, smelling of heavy-duty cleaning supplies and outfitted in furnishings that never rise above motel chic (the website features some nice-looking rooms that looked nothing like ours). On the positive side, the Miramar has a big pool, and on-site is a highly regarded restaurant, Magnolia Wine Bar & Restaurant. On the negative side, the pool is located in a sea of concrete and the restaurant takes pains to note that it is not affiliated with the resort. Still, if you don't plan to spend substantial time in your room or want to be close to the Turtle Cove marina, Miramar is certainly a money-saving option in pricey Provo.
