Its big draw? It's on a white-sand beach that is one of the best in St. Thomas. Its major drawback? It lies just across from the busy airport, 2 miles to the west of Charlotte Amalie, to which it is linked by free shuttle service. This place appeals to businesspeople who find the East End properties, such as the Marriott resort, too far away. Emerald Beach also attracts family vacationers. It's more of a resort hotel than its neighbors, Island Beachcomber and Carib Beach. All of the tastefully furnished rooms face the sands and each room opens onto its own patio or oceanfront balcony. All the rooms are of equal quality.
